Green Technologies

A study of the microclimate of a site determines the resultant architectural form, orientation, choice of materials and the physics of water and energy that go to make the building. Passive architecture elements are designed to achieve the best internal thermal comfort. Beyond the comfort already achieved with these values, our professionals work on the choice and design of green air-conditioning system.

The envelope or form of the building is crucial in determining the quality of the internal environment. Heat gain (or loss), daylight quality and ventilation … all depend largely on the way the envelope is shaped and created. Depending on the micro-climate, function it serves, and the desired internal environment, GIL will respond to the challenge with a variety of solutions.

We know how to use automated systems to track air-conditioning consumption, to monitor consumption patterns with state-of-the-art and IP-based projection software, creating secure environments through safety systems integration. These systems are also modelled to form long-term trackers of consumption at the unit level offering the best of service comfort to the dweller.

We utilise intelligent systems that bring extra efficiency in external lighting, building security systems, remote monitoring of energy use, mobile phone-enabled use of building devices like AC’s and other appliances. These extend to micro irrigation systems for ecoscapes management, too. All of these systems aim at improving operational health of equipment as an added value through performance efficiency.

Sustainable development is as much about education of the communities as it is about creating resource-sensitive built environments and systems. We have developed simple yet effective 24x7 information systems for often over-looked aspects - water use, energy profiles of the entire building of individual dwellings.
These are systems targeted to form a constant conscience-keeper for occupants and warn them of excessive consumption. BCIL's unique product lines include a one-of-its-kind ‘water conscience meter’ [that reminds you at the tap of the amount of water that is flowing down the drain] and the watt meter [which offers an online digital display of the energy you consume]. BCIL is now developing systems that will offer such visual monitors for air-conditioning with a carbon emission value displayed, ventilation and day-lighting meters that help large industrial and commercial spaces to increase energy efficiency.

These and many more include differential gren technologies we employ in our projects.
