Eco-scaping at BCIL Collective
BCIL Collective sees the integration of eco-scaping and the built environment. Each home is provided with a sky garden, which acts as upper level insulation, cutting down the heat gain for the building. These sky gardens further act as cool zones to the adjacent dining and living rooms. The large leaf area in these sky gardens also serve as dust traps.
The elevated ground level pedestrian zone is provided with its share of small trees, shrubs and grasses. Each cluster court has been given its own unique aromatic green to establish an often neglected identity.
The circumambulatory road is also dotted with fruit bearing and shade giving trees, rejuvenating the biodiversity of the campus, while also providing the ideal canopy for an invigorating walk around the campus.
